Cotton and Polyester/Cotton Curtain Linings

Bleaching / dyeing and schreiner, calender and other specialist finishes for both domestic and contract markets.

Sateen curtain linings have been a mainstay of P W Greenhalgh Finishings business since the early 1970s. Our current finishing capacity consists of two stenters a and two calenders. Using this machinery we are able to produce a wide range of products including basic sateens, crease/resist, Teflon and flame retardant finishes.

2/3 Pass Blackout Coating on Cotton/Poly/Cotton.

Blackout curtain lining in 2 pass or 3 pass for domestic usage, or produced to BS 5867 part 2 type B standard for contract. A single pass thermal coat can also be produced for a lighter weight lining.

Jig and Stenter Dyeing

Open width dyeing of shades from pastel to dark with options on certain shades up to 2.8 metres wide.

Lamination and Powder Point Coating

Fusible interlinings for shirt and garment production, and lamination of various fabrics using thermoplastic adhesives.

Flame Retardant Backcoating

Acrylic FR backcoating for domestic and contract end uses to meet BS 5852 source 0&1, cigarette and match and Crib 5 specifications.

General Bleaching

Bleaching , scouring and de-sizing of cotton and polyester/cotton fabrics up to a greige width of 3 metres.

General Finishing

Including : Flame retardant applications , healthcare finishes, seersucker effects, raising, easycare bedding finishes, calendering and soil resist/Teflon.
